Microbiology & Quality Associates, Inc. (MQA) started as an independent laboratory and professional consulting company, centrally located in the San Francisco Bay Area. We expanded our services to offer biotechnology development services, additional tests in the areas of molecular biology, cell culture and analytical testing, training, validation support and scientific resources. MQA is a GMP and FDA registered laboratory. In addition we are DEA licensed to allow testing of controlled substances. MQA passed FDA inspection in June 2011with no observations (no 483s).

Our laboratory testing services includes microbiology, environmental monitoring, water chemistry, research services for new antimicrobial compounds, molecular biology, PCR, cell culture, cell based bioassays and analytical testing. For your convenience, MQA provides sample pick-up service in the SF Bay Area.

Our consulting services include internal or external GLP/GMP audits, establish GLP or GMP quality systems, training in our facilities or at you facility.

We provide validation services of facilities, equipment, autoclaves, critical utilities systems, cleaning validation and method validation. In addition we can assist with the development of Gamma or E-Beam sterilization validation studies working with local sterilization companies and perform the necessary tests to validate the process.

MQA biotech cell culture services are targeted for small scale cell culture projects. No project is too small for us. We provide a cost efficient process, flexibility, quality and fast delivery.

Our scientific resources services provide highly-trained microbiologists for temporary assignments at your facility. Our professional staff can provide assistance with routine lab work or validation projects.

MQA equipment used for GMP testing is validated to comply with cGMP. Laboratory analysts are trained in GLP and GMP and qualified by rigorous documented training for each test they perform. Our quality systems comply with US and EU GLP/GMP and ISO 17025 & 9000 requirements. We welcome client visit and audits. The laboratory facilities have a power back-up generator that services the entire facility in case of any temporary power loss and lab instruments have individual UPS for secondary back-up. Controlled temperature chambers (e.g., incubators, refrigerators and freezers) are continuously monitored by a GMP validated and 21CFR Part 11 compliant central monitoring system that notifies lab management of alarm situations 24/7.
